Reteta rapida - Pui cu legume chinezesti (Chicken with chinese vegetables)

Ceea ce am folosit eu se gaseste in Bucuresti in magazinele Mega Image.

  • 5 linguri vin alb sec

11. Serveste carnea cu garnitura de orez.

English version

I made this meal many times, but I didn't post it because I thought it was very simple. But I realized that sometimes we are so tired and hurried, that a quick and tasty food is welcome. In fact the idea came to me when Anca, a colleague, searched in my blog, for something simple and ready in minutes.

Ingredients for 4 servings

* 1 large boneless chicken breast, cut thick slices of 3-4 cm (thin strips)

* 2 jars of assorted Chinese vegetables
    * 4 tablespoons corn oil
    * 4 cloves garlic, grated small (or cut very fine)
    * 7 tablespoons soy sauce
    * 6 drops hot sauce
    * 5 tablespoons dry white wine
    * 1 teaspoon ginger powder (or rather some ginger grated, but I did not have in house)
    * 1 green onion for garnish

For rice garnish

    * 2 tablespoons oil

* 3 / 4 cup basmati rice

* 1 3 / 4 cup water

 1.
First prepare rice garnish. In a saucepan heat oil and put the rice. Mix well over medium heat 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to color the rice.

2. Put water and heat until it begins to boil.
3. Simmer for about about 10 minutes.
4.
When rice is done al dente (meaning there is little hard), even if water is not absorbed, put a tight lid and close fire. Give 5-7 minutes to absorb all the water and grain to soften.
5.
While rice is boiling put a wok (or large skillet) over high heat. When it is hot add oil and wait to heat well.
6. Put garlic and stir a few times. Put the meat stir 2-3 minutes. Turn it on the other side. Allow 2-3 minutes.
7.
Put soy sauce, wine, chili sauce and ginger.

8. Stir and let simmer 7 minutes
 9. Add vegetables, stir well and let five minutes. In the end, if you think that meat is not done well, can put a lid to be done under steam. If the sauce reduces a lot, so as not to burn you can add a little water.
10. Taste for salt and pungency. You can add soy sauce if you want more salt or hot sauce if you like it hot.
11.
Serve meat with rice.
