Esenta de vanilie si zahar vanilat facute in casa (Homemade vanilla extract and vanilla sugar)

Acum cateva luni bune, intrand pe blogul Inei, am gasit aceasta reteta de esenta de vanilie fara chimicale. Imediat am si pus-o in aplicare si iata, dupa 3 luni de lungi asteptari, rezultatul





Ce ai nevoie
  • 5 pastai vanilie (eu am gasit bio)
  • 1 cana de vodca (cea mai buna e Absolut)
 Despica pastaile de vanilie in doua. Ina zicea ca trebuie puse intr-o sticla in picioare. Eu am avut doar un borcan, asa ca le-am taiat pe jumatate ca sa intre. Pune vodca peste, astfel incat sa le acopere. Astupa bine borcanul si pune-l in camara sau un dulap mai nefolosit, la intuneric. Lasa 3 luni la macerat. Din cand in cand agita amestecul.
Dupa 3 luni amestecul va avea o culoare de chihlimbar si aroma de vanilie. Strecoara esenta si peste pastaile ramase mai pune o tura de vodca. O sa vedem peste alte 3 luni daca si a2a tura e la fel de aromata ca prima.

Zaharul vanilat se face clasic, cum il facea si bunica. Taie mic o pastaie de vanilie si amestec-o cu ce fel de zahar vrei. Foloseste dupa o saptamana. Dupa ce folosesti zaharul, completeaza cu altul.

I found this recipe for vanilla extract without chemicals on Ina's blog. And I immediately put it into practice. Here it is, after 3 long months of expectation, the result


What You Need for Vanilla extract

     * 3 vanilla beans

     * a 500 ml jar
     * 2 cups (400 ml) vodka (good quality). I used Absolut Vodka

  Split vanilla beans in half lengthwise. Cut in two. Put vanilla beans in the jar and cover with vodka. Put the lid and close it well. Leave it in a cabinet in dark. Let soak for 3 months. Occasionally stir the mixture.

After three months will have an amber color and vanilla taste. Strain and reuse remaining beans.


Vanilla sugar  is a classic, as my grandmother used to make it. Cut a small vanilla bean and mix it with sugar (which type you want). Use after a week. Refill with another sugar.
